I'll have a caveat 1st. I'm not a pro so take my advice with that in mind.

Antony, you suffer from a very common problem. Namely, you have way overactive hands early on and whip the club inside too soon.

The clubhead has to stay outside the hands in the takeaway until the club is vertical. The fix for this is easy, however!

Simply push down on the grip with your left hand as you take the club back and almost feel like you're tipping water out of the grip as the clubhead goes up. This isn't a manipulation, but it will get you to cock your wrists correctly rather than hinging them and rolling your forearms too much, which is what you do now.

Lovely finish though, good balance and plenty to like. I'd ideally like to see you keep your left foot flatter on the ground and rotate around that leg through impact and into the finish. You'll be better balanced and have something to hit against.

Looks a lot like my old swing

Thanks for the tip

I will try to practice what you have said, I have just bought a practice cage for my garden, at least i can whack some balls in there until the rain dies off someday.

thanks for advice

No problem. One thing to ensure when doing this is the keep your grip pressure light.

Seem a little hunched over at address, try sticking you bum as far out as poss, this then should straighten the small of the back giving a better posture!

Bill,  I think he'd be better off sticking the chest out a bit as the hunching is in the shoulders. His lower spine looks pretty straight. If you stick your arse out too far you end up with a bend the other way in the spine. I know as I'm correcting this problem now from years of thinking I needed to get my arse out more.

I am 6ft 4 ins does my height not give the impression of hunching ?

I think the worst part of your swing is ya 'tracky bottoms'

Not even for the range!

Antony, it's not a big thing. I don't think your posture is so bad, The thing that needs the most addressing is the takeaway issue. That leads to far too many timing issues in a swing. Also your right foot is turned out as address. Unless your very inflexible keep it straight. It'll tighten up your swing too.

What a very intelligent and well constructed reply.

Did you consult your thesaurus for that enlightening statement.

If your not sure what a thesaurus is - It contains words and even some that have more than one meaning !!!, they are not that expensive but are invaluable.

 Think one is in order

I do find it hard to see well in these videos, cant find a way to pause and play them frame by frame. It looks a good swing to me. Has power, looks like good timing and tempo and pretty well balanced.

23rd is pretty close to the mark.

Overactive hands at the start of the swing and the shoulders never get chance to catch up.  I would guess your stock shot is a pull?  reason for this is the arms have a long way to go before the shoulders are already open to the target line.

Keeping the club on the right path on the way back is easier if you turn your shoulders to start the swing. The shoulders move the hands not vice versa.   If the shoulders aren't turning at this early point you will have to roll the club open otherwise the club won't go very far.

If you download the free V1 home software and the free swing models you'll see the modern swings such as Baddeley, Scott, Woods, Els etc..  focus on a LOT earlier and bigger turn, arms are a lot more compact in the modern swing.
