Enjoy My mate Ken playing at West Midlands GC on Sunday 3rd February.

Playing the 5th Hole ends up in a spot of bother.

Genius! Thought he'd have gone for the green though.

Ha ha. What a place to end up, especially on a difficult hole like the 5th!

Was that his drive that ended there? Got any film of the 18th hole?

Greengrass I should have got the phone out on the 18th because yesterday the wind was 20mph right to left and that 140odd yard over water was tough. I hit a 7 iron that started at the flag and just went left and into the water.  Reloaded from the same place, not the drop zone and aimed for the bridge and managed to get it on.  Ken who always hits the green first time hit 5 into the water and gave up! Ithink he tried just about every club, I know he hit a 5 iron that landed on the green and went off theback into the water.

Great, innovative shot but (sorry to be picky) is it a legal stroke? Ruleefinition: 'A stroke is the forward movement of the club made with the intention of striking at and moving the ball' ED

Bloody stuffy Sod!, I would have ended up in the water along with the ball , Brilliant hit , I won't call it a shot
