 135 quid for a bloody locker?!! Is there a little Phillipino maid in there to keep your stuff clean and tidy? Its £25 at our place and a major niggle to most members.

 I heard Loch Lomond is effectively closed for UK residents and that only international members are encouraged to become members. Muirfield members apparently get a wee letter through their door every year to say what the fees are for that particular year. If you are concerned then you are at the wrong club it seems!! Massive fees really just keep those who are not rich out of the club. Would you want to be a member of such a club anyway.

 My old Ma used to say "a fool and his money are soon parted", she didn't play golf! As a matter of (limited) interest the actor (& multi-millionnaire) Martin Sheen loves playing golf but refuses on principle to play anywhere other than municipal courses, this isn't because he's a tight wad, but because he can't stand the egotists who inhabit the rarified atmosphere of 'exclusive' clubs. I wholeheartedly agree, but have another altogether more practical economic barrier to personal membership as well!

I'd love to play the Hallowed fairways of Queenwood, Loch lomand and Muirfield, to look out of the gates at mere mortal golfers salivating!

think muirfield has a 25 year waiting list, could be wrong - would be amazing to be a member there (one day)

Can you Imagine the Feeling, When somebody asks "which club are you a member of?" And you reply "Well actually, I've just joined Queenwood!" ..... Warm and Glowing or just Ha!, Ya Peasant! In your dreams!
