Contact Lens Question
1 to 4 of 4 messagesTo post a reply you need to be a member - Join now.

My 16 yr old daughter wants to swap from daily disposable lenses to extended wear lenses. I'm not sure whether this is a good idea. Like me, she is highly suited to contact lenses but I am still wary about lenses that will not be taken out at night.

Does anybody have any experience of this type of lens? Am I right to be concerned ot do I tell her to go ahead?

Many thanks, Hack'em

I have been wearing Monthly disosables for years now. 2 weeks in, 1 day out for cleaning, 2 weeks back in - then chuck 'em. No problems, never lost a lens, never had an infection - perfect vision.

Don't buy them on the Internet, get her eyes checked out by a proper contact lens practitioner. They check your suitability and most importantly, that the blood vessels in the eye remain healthy and that sufficient oxygen gets to the eye and that they will not cause problems.

They've been the most comfortable lenses I've ever worn.

I wear 30 day lenses. They stay in night and day. Never had a problem in 2 years. Tell your daughter to go ahead.
