_of_18th_n_berwick.JPG) Next week? I go there on Tuesday - not been before A couple of guys on here have played there - give it a mo' and someone will reply

We stayed and played there early this year, and was not overly impressed. All 3 courses are pretty same old same old. Asia is shorter and favours the straighter hitter, but that is the only difference.

Europa for me,thought it was great, tough and fair, really makes you think espiecially around 13,14,15 and the stroke index 1 tough tee shot !

I play at La Cala few times a month and here is my humble opinion. Asia has narrow fairways and is a bit shorter, Europa is a bit more forgiving to the wayward driver (but not that much!) and it has a few blind holes, so get a course map. Both are great courses, but both are hilly - I would definitely recommend a buggy. Campo America will be opening again soon, they have been hollow tining the greens preparing for the high season. La Cala is one of my favourite resorts and, unlike oldslugger, I am always impressed at the courses at La Cala.

_of_18th_n_berwick.JPG) Don't tell me they are digging up the bleedin greens next week!

_of_18th_n_berwick.JPG) Well its 32 degrees here so far this week.
Have played Asia and Europa over past couple of days... Courses are ok if a bit samey! Playing America on Sunday. Very hilly, buggy a must, also very short and quite narrow No hollow tinning seen yet!!!!! But green are not all that good , true but slow! Some right hackers here .... My Missus had 43 points on Wednesday on Europa!!!!!!!!!!!!!

_of_18th_n_berwick.JPG) Played all three now place is growing on me, but the courses are a bit "samey" but the views are impressive. Gradients too severe to build top notch courses, but great for holiday golf and my wife likes par 3s she can reach with short irons!

right im off to write a report on y spain trip Europa was deffo the better course for me, thought tthe condition of asia was poor

_of_18th_n_berwick.JPG) Just got back... Asia course has a Euro Pro Tour Event this week...easily in the worse condition of the 3! No tinning . but lots of weed grass patches on the greens! I liked Europa Course, the back 9 has some very good holes... Not bad overall, had a good holiday, was my first trip to the Costa del Sol.... too many buildings, too much traffic and too many "geezers" for my liking!

Ian, sorry that I could not make it down there to meet up. Peeing with rain here today!
Could not agree more about the Costa, that's why we live in the mountains up beyond Malaga!

_of_18th_n_berwick.JPG) Yes, it was raininghard from 5am yestetrday at La Cala. We had 2 weeks great weather and drove back to the airport in a monsoon! (always helps!) The Euro Pro Tour event at la Cala was "delayed" yesterday - greens were uner water!
