Yes, it's true. After 20 years of insisting I'd never marry I finally met the crazy bint who'd take me despite my many foibles.

Yep, this time next week I'll not only be a married man, but I'll also have a whole new name! I'm the lady in this relationship!

You seem to have had a really difficult time of things and battled through them with great fortitude and you thoroughly deserve all our blessings.

They say that all marriages are doomed because the bride never marries the best man... well in this case clearly all the first 22 were spoken for!

Good luck with the day and with the future. There's nothing like committing the whole of your future to one person. Well, maybe a triple dose of laxatives comes close

Talking of names, I worked with a German chap whose surname was Tag (Day) who married a Danish lady whose surname was Sommer (Summer). He was really pleased to follow the Danish custom of both partners taking both names, as he became Mr Summer-Day!

Congratulations (or should that be commiserations - I'm never quite sure! )

Good Luck and best wishes to both of you for a happy future.

23rd man,

I have been wishing for sunshine all summer. I do hope you have gazebo or a big house.

All the best mate. You are a braver man than I, 12 years (or is it 13?) in an we both still insist we will never get married.
