I've been listening to the ryder cup on Five live and i feel nothing .

I just cant seem to get up any enthusisam for it. Its almost as if i feel that Faldo has taken the team away from me .I dont know if its his cocky i'm better than you attitude or his wild card picks.Maybe its cos theres no Scots in the team and I dont like either Poulter or Faldo .For me its like watching Celtic or Rangers play in Europe  i know cos theyre from my country i should support them but i dont . I feel that Faldo is just to confident . Maybe as the cup goes on i'll get more into it but i'm just not rushing in to watch as i would normally do in previous years.

Same here. I've been an avid fan of this event since I got interested in golf but, for me, Faldo has sucked the enjoyment out of it. I just can't warm to the man.

Damn.

I think it's a great shame if you feel you can't support a European team just because there are no players from your corner of Europe in it. I can support the GB Davis Cup side even though it's mostly Scots these days . That's the problem with nationalism, I'm afraid, especially when your country's performing worse than you'd expect (which as an England football fan is a feeling I know only too well!)

However, I do object to the way that some non-players - mainly Faldo, but also to an extent Monty - have contrived to make it about them, rather than the 12 potential heroes who'll actually be teeing it up.

Nope. That's not it. At least i don't think so.

Faldo is irritating (Great golfer but a prick) in a way that Torrence, Langer and Woosnam never were. It's a kind of childishness that some might find endearing but just makes me want to slap the git.

It's also about Poulter - undeniably a good golfer but the way he didn't even bother trying to qualify but instead relied on his friendship with Faldo makes me think much less of him. Does it really mean that much to him?

Monty's track record (even if he has an obvious deficiency in the happy-gene department) in this tournament should have earned him a captain's pick - but Faldo didn't want another strong character in the camp.

I still like Jimenez and Porridge. Nice blokes and great golfers. Westwood is anotherlike that.

Don't really know the rest - apart from Casey and Rose and they leave me cold.

Never really liked Sergio after he gobbed in the cup some time ago. Bloody hoodie.

So - don't really care who wins.
