Hi guys,

Wondered if I could pick your brains with a couple of questions.

 1. I came across a set of old persimmon woods (estimate 70's or 80's) at a house clearence sale with a picture of a butterfly on each sole plate. The only other marking on the heads is where it says Swingweight D6. I am pretty sure the are cheap but the butterfly lmotif on the sole is bugging me - I am sure I remember it from when i was a youngster but I can't place it.  Any ideas?

 2. I have a wonderful persimmon H&B PowerBilt Citation driver which is just great - its my 1st choice driver. The shaft is an old steel True Temper Dynamic shaft with a capital B circled on the shaft band. I was just wondering if anyone knew how the flex system was indicated on the old True Temper Dynamic shafts and how they compare to TT DG etc.

Any help, greatfully received.

Thanks, Graham

On question 2 I got the answer from Tom Wishon himself which was more the good of him:

"Back in this era when virtually every golf company used the Dynamic taper tip steel shafts in their production clubs, some of the companies would choose to keep the True Temper Dynamic logo and letter style of the shaft name, but they would change the Flex letter designation to be of their own choosing.

For H&B Power Bilt, they chose the letters A, B, C, D for the flexes, A, R, S and X. So the B designates an R flex in the shaft."

Cheers, G
