Thinking of buying a set of irons from last years range due to them being dirt cheap and then getting them custom fitted at a local club fitters. Been looking at Srixon I-601's and just buying them in standard fit with stiff shafts then getting the lie, length etc set-up.

Is there any problems going down this route? Other thoughts were going to the club fitter and getting a component set made up. He offers a free assesment where he'll look at my swing and then give me his thoughts on what would be good club wise etc and he'll give a trade in of £100 minimum on my current irons, hopefully more
