I'm thinking about getting a 2 thumb grip to have a go with.  I'm a bit worried about what effect a massive wedge of rubber will have on the swingweight of my putter?

Does anybody have any idea what the actual effect is?

What about the 2 thumb lite any better?

I've also heard some rumblings about the swingweight being non consequential on putters as the static weight is more important - i'd need some convincing over that?

Any info?

Cheers

IMO it's got to be purely down to feel CBE, get your pro to pop one on and go and use it for a while.

I had my Yes! putter chopped down by a couple of inches which probably changed swingweights, static weights, Terry Waites, and some other weights. The pro said to go and use it and if I needed some extra weight he would sort that out after. It did feel a little different (not remarkably) but it give me the feeling that I could strike the putts more aggresively so I left it as it was.

CBE forget swing weight it means nothing, the important thning is your feel.. When I used one I found it was OK for short putts when line was important but cr*p on long ones when distance was the thing, however I didnt find that out until I went make to a normal grip now I find I am better at the ling putts and the short ones but dont know if I have improved or its just the dropping of the 2Thumbs.. and dont care..
