Is it me or do these new adjustable drivers make any sense? Surely if you change the orientation of the shaft to put the club face open or closed then the spine of the shaft will move all over the place,or have I picked this up wrong? Or is it that spine and flo is overatted as these drivers are now being played on tour? Any thoughts

To add a thought to the above post, DD not thread jacking honest, When manufacturers particularily Taylor made stick great labels on the bottom of the shafts around where the kick point is does that affect the performance too?? I ussally tear them off but should they be left on??

DD - yes, if it has been S/F'd/PUREd then the spine will move with the shaft. I am told that a lot of players pick their favourite setting, then get the shaft reinserted to match that up with the spine. And then just leave it.

MTP - No. It doesn't make any difference. That is if the "great labels" you are describing are the "great labels" I am thinking of !

I thought it was actually the shaft that turned with the 'ferrule' so the shaft would turn with the ferrule thingy magiggy??
