Hi guys,

Over the last year I have built up a nice collection of some persimmon classics from the 50's onwards. These include:

MacGregor M85, MacGregor 693, MacGregor LFF M09, MacGregor 945 drivers and a set of Cleveland Classics (1, 3 and 4), a Wilson Harry Busson tribute (1,3, 5).

For now I prefer to play these beauties rather than just look at them, lovely as they are. But inevitably I might want them refinished to "as new condition" at some point in the future. Anyone have any recommendations on clubmakers or amateurs who do it as a serious hobby and who have a good track record with persimmon. I know a few people in the US but no-one over here who specialises in persimmon refurbs. Any recommendations?

Cheers,

G

Hi GP, went to the Welsh Open this year and there was a chap with a stall who makes wooden headed putters in Wales. I'm sure he could help: www.sphericalblade.com
