Does anyone know what the paint/varnish/lacquer is used on the old Ping Eye 2 woods? (the real woods). My son is refurbishing mine and need to know what the correct finish is.

best using a boat clear varnish  after paint finish has been applied

make sure you use a good filler for the grain  before spraying the colour

OK, thanks for that. The clubs are in pretty good condition so will only need a respray.
