Good news Sean. I still really like those MP32's...
Can you tell me more about your experience on the Mizuno custom fitting of your MP32's please? Was it done in the shop or over the 'phone/on line? If it was done in person what process did they go through with you.
In my other thread I'm having some problems with the recommendation for my custom fit on the MX23's....
cheers,

I had an MP32 6 iron out today from the pro, fantastic club. Only hit one bad shot with it all round and found myself making excuses to use it (wind in my face go up a club, wind with go down a club etc). I did not believe that you could hit a shot with a 6 iron that would stop so quick, couple of par three's I hit the green (which in itself is a miracle for me) and the ball was no more than 18 inches from the pitch mark.
Sold....

Tuffer - What's your golf game like and what are your normal clubs?
Cheers.

I borrowed and MP32 6i with a stiff shaft this morning and hit a couple of buckets of balls. Considering the stiff shaft and the size of the head compared to my clubs (TM RAC HT's) I didn't think I'd be able to hit it for sh*t and wanted to dismiss the fanciful idea that I could hit a club like this.
It was pure vanilla. Never having played a forged iron before I didn't think there would be that much difference between cast and forged but I couldn't be more wrong. Difficult to describe but it was like you feel the ball coming of the face in slow motion. Distance was good and dispersion was tight but what did surprise me was the forgiveness of badly hit shots, nowhere near as bad as I thought it would be.
I want them, and I want them now. Anybody want to buy some children?

 Gareth,
I had a fitting done at Romanby GC which is about 20 mins from me. Took the six iron with stiff shaft on to the range on my own for another bucket of balls to try again and like Hacker it was pure vanilla! The fitting was done later by one of the guys. Measured me wrist to floor and height. Although I'm only 5'5" standard length is fine for me due to wrist/floor measurement. Then had 3 swings (no ball) on one of those hard plastic board things with tape on bottom of the 6i.(4 swings if you count the 1st which was an air shot! Felt a bit silly missing the ground). Same mark each time on the tape hence the 2*flat adjustment to the lie angle and my swing looked quick enough for the stiff shaft which I was sure about in any case. Talked about what shots I hit generally and that was that really. Incidentally I had my RAC Lts fitted about 18 months ago at European Golf in Derby and had 5.0 Rifle shafts which are quite soft and lie was 1* up. Don't know if I could possibly changed that much but I suppose my golf has improved and I've had some lessons which may have altered my swing plane more than I thought. I know how Hacker feels now that he has hit them. They are very seductive! The only trouble about telling everyone how nice they are is that they won't be that exclusive anymore and any advantage I may think I have by using them will be nothing if everyone else has them too!!

My regular clubs are Callaway BB's, supposedly for game improvers and veryu forgiving. Now I don't know if it is down to the specs but my game between Friday and Saturday was chalk and cheese. friday borrowed the MP32 6 iron 1/2 long and 2 deg up (played well), today used my BB's and played like a chimp with 4 arms.
I want them, I want them, I want them.

Cheers for that Sean, glad they are what you wanted.
I looked at them again yesterday and have now decided that they are going to be a bit beyond my current ability really. The lack of any offset at all compared to the MX23's I'm looking at as well removed some confidence on the range. For me I will look at them again when I'm knocking a single figure handicap maybe.
Sounds like the fitting you had was the same process as I had with the MX23's too. That black board test is very interesting isn't it !!

PLayed with the MP32 6 iron again on Sunday (1 inch over long and 2 deg upright this time). I am not the worlds best iron player, but you would have thought I was pretty good if you saw the shots I hit with it. Not a single duffer, do not worry about what h'cap you are just give them a try as you may be suprised just how easy they are to hit. Shot of the day, 155 yds into the wind, never moved off the pin the whole way in and dropped about 8 feet short of the hole. 3 putted for a bogey and clonked myself on the head with the putter.

Blades have been the best kept secret of better players - in as much as that is what they want you to think - so as to be awe struck by them.
They ain't so tough!
