OH MY WORD!!!

Half considering a new rescue club- stumbled across Nickent, went on Bombsquad and found this. My word- now that is a review.

Check it out!

Incidentally anyone tried a Nickent resuce?

Thanks
Chip

Nickent are getting rave reviews all over the place.

I've got one. A #2 with NV stiff shaft. Got it from the pro at a club in Ayrshire by mail order.

I can't say I love it but it's ok - and quite cheap. But I'm one of those weird sorts who is happier with a 3i then a wood!

JB,

What shafts do you play in your other clubs? I was considering an NV stiff and wondered just how stiff it would be.

Have a Grafalloy Blue reg in my driver and that's ok. I heard Blues play stiffer than NV??

Thanks
Chip

Chip - the Blue definitely plays stiffer than an NV. The NV is pretty strong though, I think it's better than the Prolaunch Blue for example as the PL seems more tip soft than the NV.

My irons are rifle lite 6.0. Driver is a Taylormade stock stiff (tip medium it says) and 3w is a "speeder by titleist" in stiff.

I've have got another driver with a graf blue x flex and I can hit it ok, but I tend to hit some high cuts with it (too stiff probably) so don't use it.

With hindsight, I think a #3 would have been a better choice and more versatile, but the #2 is fine (I play a links course so wanted a lower loft to keep the ball down).

Ps if you want, email me and I can give you the contact details for the place I bought it. I paid £74.50 incl delivery. The guy also sells them on Ebay but I wanted the spec above which he ordered for me.

JB- I've been emailing SJSGolf via eBay today. Looking at the 3# with NV75 shaft.

Seems to be a bargin at that price- if they take off in the UK I'm sure I could sell it for more than I've paid if I don't like it.

I was going to get one in the US in Nov- but they are cheaper from this guy.

I've got a #2 17* with the NV stiff shaft, i love mine, Slighly offset head so a nice draw ball flight is easy to produce, the head feels heavy when swinging it which i like.

One thing that is a little poor, where the 2#17 is stamped in (embossed) on the sole of the club, the digits are rusting a litle, no major shales but not what you'd expect from the big boys.

Got mine from sjs via ebay and at that money got to be best value club around.

I'd love to try on of their 3dx drivers

yep, SJS golf, that's who I got mine from. I clean my clubs after every round anyway (forged irons) so not had any trouble with rust
Nickent 3w 20deg in my bag. Apparantly, lots of American pros on the tour below the big one use them.

Cannot fault it. Aldila 65R in mine
