I have recently noticed that on the PGA Tour a few players, Charles Howell III to name the most well known one, have been using what is apparently, says Bruce Critchley (commentator) a new Odyssey 3-ball.

Just wondering if anyone who knows anything about it could release the info for us all to read

I've got a 2-ball and love it but isn't his taking the concept a little bit too far. It looks like a cross between the PING Doc. 17 and a white steel 2-ball, where the designers clicked on 'Paste' once more than he should have on the computer!! Does it include a pured graphite shaft?!!

I am an eqpt junkie but even I think this looks naff, when companies start releasing kit every few months like this (R580/R580XD/R7/R5, G2/5, Fusion, 2/3 Ball (white hot/DFX/blade) RM Dual etc) then who the hell do they think is going to buy all this stuff. Best will in the world I can only change my putter/driver/irons once a year, any more and I have to start replacing the wifes gear and that could get expensive!!!!
This kind of turnover in kit is usualy the sign that the bottom is about to fall right out of the market and the sport is heading for a downturn, people get turned off by it and lose interest.

Anyone actually tried one ? Screw the looks, how does it work ?
