I'm considering buying the Ram fx9 as it's had pretty good reviews. Anyone had experience on the course with this driver and will it still be legal as I cant seem to find it listed anywhere in the R & A lists.

I think it will be legal for use after 2008, so no worries there.

I have an FX9,it is and will continue too be legal or so i was told. For me personally, ive had problems using this club but that is because i found the shaft too be very whippy but that is the only downside to it,after 2 months of using it i can say hand on heart its the best thing ive bought!!!Do i need too say anymore....

A mate of mine has one. They do look good with the crown replicating the callaway fusion.

He plays off of 28 (not for much longer) and hits it very consistantly. I am sure if you look around you will pick one up for less than 75 quid which to be honest is a steal.

The fact Ram are not premium cost drivers is not much to do with the quality, but is more to do with less marketing and sponsorship of tour players. Ram have been around for years.

You certainly can pick them up for less than 75 quid,i got mine for 40 quid off ebay,an absolute bargain if i do say so myself.

I use this club and the only thing that has let me down is me. When my swing is just off I get good results, when it is spot on I can match most normal hitters at the club. Never could compete with the real monster drivers of a ball. I would recommend this driver espicially if you can get a bargain like the shark.
Incidently I went to buy club from Direct Golf and was convinced I was going to buy a Cobra 454, the salesman talked about my game and suggested I could try what I liked on the range but suggest that I compare the Cobra and the Ram head to head. I couldn't personally see anything in it other than the Cobra had a better head cover but the shaft on the Ram felt better.

I've heard that the reg shaft is quite whippy though and as my local shop doesn't sell these I'm going to have to buy online and won't really be able to compare. Any thoughts regarding the stiff shaft? My swingspeed is average so I would normally get the reg.
