Just wanting to know who has a rescue club, what type and has it made a difference to your game?

i have a 22 degree nike cpr, so does alex smith, who will also probably sing its praises here, too.
its a very good club, forgiving and excellent for chipping due to its short shaft, will go a mile if you nail it right
a very good replacement for a 3/4 iron

I have the Ram Wizard 21 degree. Just wanting to know from people if their handicaps have been reduced and games improved etc? Picked the club up for £31 brand new including p&p .... bargain.

I'm looking for a rescue club. I'm a high handicapper looking to shoot mid 90s. I am just looking for a club for that 2nd shot on long par4s or par 5s thats good from rough or fairway and can be used on the tee.

The wife says I can have one as a chrimbo present ( last year she got me M455 irons custom fitted ) so which one to get ?

I am a 28 handicapper, been playing a year - I use a 5 TM rescue dual for 180 yards and a 3 TM rescue dual for 200 yards, both a pretty stratigh forwad to hit as long as you don't try too hard.

Yep, I use the 22* CPR and it's great. Can use it from the tee, rough, fairway and around the greens. Very versatile club.

Use the SMT Avocet Hybrid with the Icon HL (Hybrid/Long) Regular shaft. Been using the 26* and getting 180-200 yards. Now changing down to a 23* for the winter.

Gave a couple to a colleague to demo the other day and apparently it's rather good with the grafalloy blue shaft!

I carry 2 rescue clubs:

One is a 21* citation X which is brilliant..

The other is a Ram Wizard 18* which I have only had a month or so but it is coming together nicely..

I've got Howson GBH Attackers in 18, 21 and 24 degree lofts. As I'm struggling with the mid irons at the moment I use those 3 for everything from 200 yards down to 7 iron distance.

Very effective and easy to use if you focus on a slow, smooth swing.

I've got a Tom Wishon Golf Tech 321LI 21deg / no.3 with their own Gi335 shaft in stiff that was made for me recently.
Bought it as a 5-wood replacement / 200 yard club and it seems to be bedding in ok and easy enough to use although I have been a bit wayward with my long clubs recently. Hit some great shots with it out of rough and bunkers already already though so pretty pleased with it so far.
Considering getting one or two more as well, maybe a #2 and/or #4.

I've got a Nickent Genex 3D #2 (17 deg) but have to say I struggle with it- hit it too low and often left. I hit long irons quite good generally so am a little disappointed as I was expecting more. H/C is 9.

I have a Taylor Made Rescue Mid TP at 19*, it is my absolute 'Go-To' club whenever I just MUST keep the ball in play, superb off the ground, awesome off the tee.

The original TaylorMade rescue at 21° but haven't used it seriously for years. Sonratec MD19 and TD23 (the loftis in the name) with Accuflex Icon HL shafts - when my clubfitter gets around to finishing them, or using them himself more likely (he calls it quality control).

I use a Tm 16* quite a lot off the tee, and for 2nd shots in to long par 4's - a reliable 200 yrd ++ club.

I also have a 24*, but as my ball striking is improving I tend to only use it out of the rough, prefering to use a 3/4/5 iron off the fairway.

i use a bensayers m8 23* and a dunlop loco 17*. the ben sayers is better by miles.

Mizuno fli-hi clk, great off tee or fairway/rough. Replaced my 3 iron, much easier to use.

I'm about to get a Nike CPR I think. Can get them for around £50 now. The other good looking ones seem to be closer to £100, although I've heard really good things about the Howson GBH utilities - I just don't know whether to believe what I've heard and go with the cheaper brand or stick with the Nike which I've also heard is excellent.

I've got the TM rescue mid but I'm getting a Callaway Heavenwood instead. I can honestly say that the Heavenwood is the best club I've ever played with!

Carry a 22 degree rescue by designer golf.

Tried the mizuno fli-hi and clk also tried the heaven wood ans when i spoke to my clubfitter he made one up for me and only charged me for the shaft and grip set to me.

Its a revelation nice high flight stops quickly and no loss of distance.

Head is identical to TM TP Rescue mid

still use all my irons but I like my 17 degree Mizuno flihi CLK. Long, penetrating flight which I like in the windy winter , more adapatble than a 5 wood.
