For Jackets
I have the Sunderland GT tour and find it very comfortable.
One thing that some people might not like is the extra length at the back of the jacket but to me this is one of its good features as the water does not run down the inside of the trousers when you bend over, which can ocur on normal length jackets.
I also have a ProQuip Ultimate Goretex for summer use which is so light that that you hardly notice the extra layer
I do in particular notice the difference in thickness of the trousers between each manufacturer and would consider that the Sunderland would be a bit cumbersome if worn over the top of trousers.
Personally if I suspect it is going to rain or is already raining I just wear the waterproof trousers without normal trousers on, changing before I go out.
