The Indio and the Encore have made it to our fairways, well actually they’ve made it to Exmax and I received my 10.5* Indio today to shaft when I get time, LOL. Believe it or not, I am surprisingly impressed with the looks of the Indio.

Some (with probable justification) would say ‘StickMan won’t dislike a new head from SMT’, but I was prepared for the worst. Having only seen the web site graphics and no real photographs I was quite expecting for it just to be ‘ok’, but I have too say IMHO it’s got real looks!

Now the question is; will I play it? This I am even more concerned about as for years I have been an advocate of playing drivers no larger than 400cc and the Indio is 430cc. Right from the start this is going to be a challenge….I hope it plays for me as sweet as it looks.

Stickman got to agree, i nipped down to see Shaun just after they arrived. they look great and dont seem to feel a full 430cc, perhaps we (i) get so used to looking at 460 every thing else looks small.

Shaun's putting me a 9.5 and and 14.5 with evo shafts, tried the 2 driver thing last week and using 14.5 on tight or down wind tee shots and made a real difference.

I like the look of the Encore. Any close up pictures of it, Stickman?

Sorry no, I've not gone for one myself as it's 450cc - not really my cup of tea. The Encore is one of the reasons why I was surprised with the sweet look of the Indio, I personally thought from the web that it was the Encore which had the looks...
