Does anybody know who manufactures the 'Ben Sayers' range.

I'm trying to find out if an 'M2' driver I have is conforming or not but Ben Sayers don't seem to be listed as a manufacturer in their own right on the R&A website.

TIA

Owned by Callaway I believe...

Cheers GK.....

Doesn't help much though as they are not listed under Callaway either.

That's 2 drivers I have in my possession and neither are listed on the R&A Website in either the conforming or non conforming section!

Hopefully their lists will be added to as the year goes on.

It's all just a vicious ploy to get us to spend more dosh on new equipment :o)

Taken from a website on Ben Sayers history.....

"In 1964 the company expanded further, moving into new premises in Tantallon Road, North Berwick. In 1998, Grampian Holdings sold Ben Sayers Ltd. to the Caledonian Golf Group and in 2002 the company was acquired by Tandem plc, a Devon-based sports and leisure equipment buisness.

In June 2003 all production of Ben Sayers golf equipment will be transferred to the Tandem Group works in Devon, before being moved to China. The Ben Sayers factory will close in North Berwick after 124 years - the end of an era."

Looks like they new owner is Tandem...but Ben Sayers is still the 'make' and it looks like they have a new website AS jb says....coming soon!
I would say if it isn't on the non-conforming list, it will be ok.

Read the R&A website ... if it's not on a list it's not safe to assume it's OK; check with their Equipment committee.

At least the new owners aren't passing them off as a Scottish brand, unlike the people over here ->
