I'am interested in buying a new putter and the YES range has taken my fancy with only one problem.
I cant find a local shop with either of the two putters I'd like to try.
Victoria II marilyn
Has anyone got any comments to pass on the putter's in general good or bad.
I live near Burton on Trent, Staff's. Does anyone from the area now of a local shop with YES in stock.
Contacted YES on "Info@yesgolf" for distributers in the area. The distributers were either miles away or when contacted did not stock the putters.

 Yes putters are fantastic.
I've been playing the "Emma" for 2 years now and I can't see it leaving the bag any time soon. They are easily in the same bracket at Scotty's or 2-balls etc in terms of quality but IMO put a better roll on the ball than any of them. There are loads of pro's playing them, some on the PGA tour such as Goosen but also lots more on the Nationwide/senior/LPGA tours and Yes don't pay any players to play their putters. I think that says a lot. With the range of designs available, it's simply a case of picking the one you like the most and away you go!
On my friends bought a Victoria (the original, not the II) after trying my Emma and he loves it. I also got my wife the pink Marilyn for christmas and that is a great putter too and even gave Emma a run for her money!.
Although putters are very individual, I honestly don't think you'll be disappointed whichever you choose.

 Hi Tim,
I've got a Marilyn which I really like. I think European Golf in Derby stock some, which ones I don't know. I'm also near Burton - where do you play?

Thanks Sean,
Just been down to European Golf and they only had the Victoria II which looked and felt quite good. Several other models that were not to my taste Tracy's etc.
I would still like to try the Marilyn as a comparison and will before final decision.
From "3 Putts & A Snap Hook's" comments I am now also wondering about the "Emma" & also the "natalie" versions.
From any or all of these I am looking for an easy alignement aid as my aim is poor to say the least. Sean how easy is the "Marilyn" to align.
I am not a club memeber currently but am looking at options for 07 "Family allowing". I have been playing at courses all around the area with friend's for the last two years(Branston, Mickelover, Horsley Lodge, Sinfin, Seedy Mill, Morley Hayes).
Thanks for the response.

My local club pro shop at Greetham Valley Hotel & GC has a display of Yes! putters. Call them (01780 460666) to ask what they've got in stock.ED

I have a Yes Callie and cant praise it highly enough, it really inspires confidence just holding and looking at it, the quality is faultless and its pretty good at putting the ball in the hole as well, just reading about the new forged version and wondering if it could be even better but would feel unfaithful going to try one

i have emma, callie and callie f.
great putters...emma for sale if you want it.
I also have bettinardi bb16 and tm modena tp and a few others..but the callie(f) is the best for me.

MisterS3 How do you find the callie f over the regular version ?

 F better because
different sight line- in the flange suits me to the version of callie i have with it on the leading edge.
Feels softer
Better shaft in the version i have.
Nicer non reflective finish.
great placebo effect.
downside is magnetic headcover...prefer velcro of standard...but easy switch.
But i've still to use it on the course so no conclusive proof.

I found difficulty in finding them too. Bought a Natalie and wasn't happy with the finish on it (check the quality of the edges).
Took it back and the rep brought another one that was even worse. It was a non-authorised source although a proper pro shop I know and trust so likely to have been a bad batch rather than a fake.
Went to an authorised source from Yes Golf's list and they had several different models in, the finish on the Natalie they had was great, as were the other models they had in.
Took a Natalie, Tiffany, Ping G5 Craz-E and TM Rossa Monza Corza out to the green. Ended up buying the Natalie as I'm a high handicapper and the head is at least as big as the Ping G5 Craz-E - dead easy to align and felt as though it does give a great roll. I also prefer centre-shafted putters.
Tiffany was great also but more for the lower handicapper I think with a smaller head.
TM Monza Corsa is a lovely bit of kit and very similar in appearance at address to the Natalie, nearly went for this only the alignment aid wasn't quite as clear and it was a bit more expensive.
The only problem with Yes putters is the grips, I don't think they were really intended for muddy Northern England golf courses, the yellow and white gets marked really easily.
In any event try and get to a place with a couple to try side by side, else if you're like me the variance in your putting ability from one day to the next will affect the results far more than the putter itself !

Nice to see that everyone is talking about authorised dealers and shops. Avoid ebay - I know that's tough on anyone trying to sell on their genuine items - but anything on there has to be taken with a pinch of salt. And how long are ebay gonna let that muppet selling new Yes putters "1 day listing, no Paypal" carry on?!?! These scum are a blight on the face of the earth.

Can't help with dealers in your area, as I'm a bit of a trot away..but I can thoroughly recommend the C-Groove putters. I've had a Tracey for about 3 years (well before they became fashionable) and only today bought a Victoria II.
I also tried a Marilyn and an Olivia. The Marilyn just didn't do it for me..the leading edge was a bit too chunky and the whole thing a wee bit too small to instil too much confidence. The Olivia looks just like the old Zebra putters and you will either love or hate the metallic ting as you hit the ball.
For me, the Victoria II was easily the best I tried. Nice but effective alignment aid, large head and that great roll. Paid £90 for it at a local pro-shop!

Try Mickleover, the pro has atleast 6 different YES models and you can use the practice green next to the shop
