Thinking about changing clubs, to one between work and home. Narrowed it down to two, and would welcome any advice/info.

The two are Kent National, which is £1100 for year with no joining fee, and Cherry Lodge, which is £50 more, but is doing 15 months for price of 12. I'll go and check them both out, but there's only so much you can tell from a visit or a 'trial' round.

I'd probably say Cherry Lodge, if you're playing in the evenings (after work), as the Kent is more likely to be crammed with Societys !

I have played at Cherry Lodge and would say that it is a very nice course and plays quite long, for me anyway. Was thinking of joining Cherry Lodge myself as it is only down the road from me, but I just can't justify spending that much money on joining a course.

Thanks for comments, I'll see if I can get a discounted (free!) round out of either of them. Cherry Lodge is nearer to work, Kent National closer to home, so there's not much in it. Any more comments (from current members?) would be appreciated.

Cherry lodge did invite me for a complimentary game when I enquired there, but the usual practice i've found these days is that just knock off the cost of your fee when/ if you join.

If you join CL, let me know as I'd like a game there again sometime.
