G'day, I've had a mate return from the Mother Country recently with a set of MD Originals (he plays off 3 and loves them). He keeps telling me that I should get a set of the oversized forged model and reckons there isn't a better bat on the market.
The MD's aren't sold here in Oz, so my only way of evaluating them is through forums (I know it's not the best but I intend to take them to a clubfitter and have them altered to my specs).
Are the EQL's better than the first oversize model? Were they ever sold as just a head?

Roger - i have to original forged musclebacks and can only therefore comment on these and have to say that they are really good clubs both in value and performance.

Take a look at the web and look at the reviews, every magazine that i have read which feature the MD oversize praise them.

I'm in country town called Drouin, about 95 klms from Melbourne in an area known as Gippsland.

eql's are 2 degrees stronger through the set than outgoing oversize forged.
