what does 35cm3 mean to you?

thats the difference in the clubs.

bigger head.

Maybe the shaft makes 99% of the difference - go get yourself fitted, not fitted up.

One mans 8.5 deg tour stiff r7 460 is another mans 11.5 deg reg 425

Try before you buy

k thanks i was just wonderndering ppl say that the 460 is alot more forgiving and you have to be a more consistant golfer to hit the 425

The R7 425 is designed for "players" (read Lower Handicappers) with consistent swings and who like, and can, shape the ball.

The R7 425 is more forgiving and is designed for "golfers" (like me) who have less consistent swings (like me) who "think" they can shape the ball (like me) but really need a club which is more forgiving (like me).

As fengibbon says, the key is DEFINITELY to get yourself fitted. I have tried the Burner, SuperQuad, R4 425 and couldn't find a stock shaft that suited me...

I have an R7 400, too - it is relegated to the trial club for banging out different paint jobs and chasing the local chavs down the road on their petrol-to-noise-converters (50cc scooters).

Agree - less about head size and more about suitability of shaft, length, swing weight, balance, etc.

Only way to determine that is to try, try, try.

I have recently brought my old Yonex Vmass 250cc (yes, that's 250cc!) head back into use, as my Mizuno Bluefire (310cc) just hasn't been behaving and isn't as "right" for me as the Yonex, it would seem.
