What's the best 7 wood in everyone's humble opinion. I heard the Taylormade rescue club is good and the MD range is supposed to be good as well. Which one should I get?

Only one to get Evan and thats the new Mizuno MP-001s. Best fairway woods on market at moment and cheaper than TM!

Evan,

I personally like the TM Rescue mid clubs (steel shaft), very easy to hit off the deck or off a low tee. Some people don't like the Rescue Mids because the weight is distributed to give the club a draw bias - good for a slicer but if your problems are in the other direction, avoid it. You may also want to consider the Nike CPR clubs. I have never liked Nike golf equipment but the CPRs were particularly solid and crisp feeling.

I think the callaway steelhead woods are some of the most versatile ever made - I have not hit the 7 wood but I am sure it will be no exception.

Demo as many as you can and see what suits your swing best.

Hope this helps.

Todays Golfer reviewed 7 woods - Mizuno won and at 99 bucks with a steel shaft is hard to beat.

......there were also good reviews on some of the cheaper makes - Ram FX looks good for the money.

Paid eighteen quid for a Tad Moore 19 degree utility off E Bay,it's an awesome lil tool and if I lose my temper I can snap it in half.:)Has replaced my three wood and 4 iron.

Try Wilson Deep Red II fairways. I hit a 7 wood from out of the rough yesterday and made a green that I could have sworn was well out of range (180 yards if you believe the markers). Either that or someone has moved the distance markers at Rudding Park.

I was looking at Taylormade's rescue clubs and one of them was marked with a '3'. Does this mean it's an equivalent of a 3-wood or what exactly? I didn't think rescue clubs came in the equivalent of a 3-wood.

No TM have numbered them but not like woods. a 3 is 19 degrees loft and equivalent to 5 wood. Their site will give you all the specs

If you can find one (selling fast) AGD are selling of the last of the Mizuno Blue Rage woods @ £69 with graphite shafts.
The 7 wood is a peach.
