Anyone had any experince with STX putters. I have found some in one of my local shops at a nice price.

Initial checks find that they are very well made putters with an interesting face material. Some really fresh head designs too including replaceable faces. I'm going to go back on Saturday and try a couple out on the putting green (weather permitting) but wondered if any of you have and experience wuth them.

Very soft inserts, not really my cup of tea...but if you like it, it inspires confidence and you think you can putt better with it, get one!

Seve and Parnevik first used them on tour so they do have a good pedigree. But I am not sure that they will be of benefit on our slow British Greens.

After a lengthy testing session at my local pro shop of the STX putters they have in stock at the sensible price I purchased a STX 'Sync 4'. Not one of their wilder designs but I couldn't argue with the results that this club was giving me even on the clubs wet, deceptively bumpy putting practice area. The club has the harder of the two STX inserts and I'm very impressed. I'll post a member review soon.

I'd recommend that anyone who gets a chance tries out their wild STX Synch Tour, its the one 'Parnevik' uses and it is a putter that all golfers should have a go at if they can. The pro said if I could get over the looks then I would be suprised and I sure was! Hit the sweet spot and this putter even with the soft insert is truly excellent, direction and weight of shot are easy. The catch is that you need to hit the sweet spot, slightly off and the results will not amuse you. One for the better putters out there but if you have a repeatable putting stroke I recommend giving it a go.
