Just wondering what people views are on the Sumo Nike driver (the standard design one not square)
I drove about 270yrds y/day with my Mates and it just felt sublime.
Very tempted to invest but thought i'd solicit feedback first.
TIA, Mike.

Yer i like it alot. Not sure about the shaft though. However if it works for you go for it!
Think it was the stock shaft in Stiff (horrible yellow orangey thing)....felt fine though
Another one on here drives it 270.
Come to my club. Its 240 to carry the bunker on the 1st. £50 says your first bounce is short of that!!
:-)

I thought I said 'drive 270yards'....last time I checked a 'drive' was the distance the ball travelled from the tee to the point it stops on the fairway/rough regardless where it 1st bounces.

 The Phoenix
Have you ever played with mjw? do you even know what is swing is like? have you ever seen him hit a ball?
if not then you have no right to say whether or not he can hit it as far as he has said.
So theirs no need to wreck his thread with stupid comments like that!
Cheers Nikey - I've been playing golf on & off for 20+ years...I hardly need to lie about how far I can hit a ball with a driver as good as this.
I think any player with a half decent swing could easily get 250+ with this club.
i've got one of these with the aldila vs proto shaft - its a great club, certainly the longest driver i have ever owned even better is that with all the noise about the square one you can get these very reasonably priced. mine was on for £199 and then i got good trade in for my old 905. You won't regret buying one as long as you get the right shaft.

_of_18th_n_berwick.JPG) Ho ho. Winksey certainly hits his bloomin miles!
Mind you - to get a 270 yard drive - 240 yards carry is needed!! So get down to Phoenix's club and take his money!!
Thanks Ian i wouldn't dream of claiming to be a long hitter though!
Will test drive in a golf store this week and make a decision. There are a few going on Ebay under £100 but i reckon they are fakes.
yes i reckon these might be good targets for the fakers and if you are trading in an old driver you should get some cash off the new one. Buy one though it really is a great club. i was not a "nike man" but couldn't argue with how good this club is.

 Shaft too soft :-(
Like your add though 'Not a bent one...' :-)
mjw unless you are a monster you might find this shaft ok - i have always found graffalloy to be stiffer than most - and £80 is a good price you should get your cash back if its no good !

The Phoenix
How many attempts is one allowed at this? ;o)
I have only used a driver once and didn't feel the need to buy one given that I can tag: a) 230 with my 3-iron* b) 250 with a 3-wood*
Rich
Disclaimer: I can't do this every time on demand!)
don't fall for the bet Rich if its 240yds and can't be carried it must be severely uphill and/or nearly always into the wind . . . . . . . if not where is this golf club :o))
_of_18th_n_berwick.JPG) Mind you Winksey....Not many folk have their handicaps listed on profile.
The Par 3 2nd at Bowood is 205 to carry the bunkers. It's flat ground and not into the prevailing wind. Surely just a 6 iron for these big hitters? What did you need on that hole?
And as Richard says above....he is talking about his "Sunday Best!"
Yep - my Sunday best: * No wind * No noise * No hangover
Everything must be perfect...an 'Augusta-Moment', if you like!

_of_18th_n_berwick.JPG) Those damm noisy butterflies in the next field put me off!
