Are the mizuno f50 fairways any good . Ive seen them going cheap on the net . Unfortunately at the moment i dont own any woods so i thought about buying 1 of these . They are the steel shafted model , will this make much difference to the graphite shafts ?

I really wanted the taylormade v steel II  fairways but no one has a 3 and a 5 wood in stock ............shame i would of liked them .

Nowt wrong with the Mizuno fairways - I still use  3,5&7 Mizuno Blue Rage (2 models before the f50) with steel shafts and they are top drawer.

I have the F-50's and they are pretty good, I also have a V Steel II 7W and I really like it, face is a bit wider than the mizuno which makes it a bit more forgiving, also the Mizuno are composite with a carbon crown, this is good if you have trouble getting height on your shots, I dont have this problem which is why the v steel may be better for me.

Not much to choose, both great clubs.

I cannot find any V Steel II 3 woods with graphite shafts anywhere but this site are showing 5W & 7W graphite in stock at £39.99, its a bargain price definately go for graphite and I suggest if you have not been using woods to go for the 7 and 5 to start.

Better be quick there are not many 5W on the web.

Let me know if you find any

There are new Mizuno drivers coming out at the end of September, maybe fairways as well. This would explain big discounts and restricted choice. Try Pricebustergolf.co.uk, they have both steel + graphite F50's last time I looked.

I have a mizuno f50 3 wood. It is nice to look at adress and produces a low penetrating flight. It's also easy to use from the tee, as a shorter option than the driver (and straighter). Its a large head that inspires confidence off the tee, yet looks compact off tight lies. I can't complain about the shaft, although i have read poor reviews about it. good luck with whatever you buy.
