Never used to be a wear a glove up until this year, struggled with feel when I first tried one but now feels perfectly normal. Not many options in my local pro shop so was going to place an order online, just wondering on peoples recommendations for a top end glove. Not tried these but have read good things about them: :Taylormade R7 Tour :Titleist Players.

its not the glove alone that is important... its the glove/grip interface that is key sure comfort on your hand is important, as is longevity (both in terms of wear and how it recovers from getting wet) and to a lesser extent washability but its my experience that some gloves work better with certain grips (yeah i know...thats really sad!!!) ....I like Lamkin Crossline grips and find that Mizuno Retroflex Leather glove works well. Even better is the Roo glove from golfshopeurope.com

I guess what you need to take into consideration is whether or not you want your glove to last or if your quite happy for spend £8-£10 on a new glove every couple of rounds. I was using a Mizuno Techflex weather glove for a while but found it a bit to thick and didnt provide the feel that a more traditional glove has. I have now moved over to a Footjoy weathersof golf glove which gives better feel, not sure whether they will be as sturdy as the mizuno but for 3 at £18 from pricebustergolf.com im happy.

I'm a Weathersof user too. I just find it's the snuggest fit for my hand of any glove I've tried.

Cleveland Tour Action Leather........but only the ones from the US, thinner leather out there for some bizarre reason.

callaway warbird i bought two for £9.99 at a local club and they have lasted me ages they are also a nice fit.

The Original Roo - Got my first one at the GM Staverton golf day and it still looks almost new. Wears far better than the footjoy sciflex that i've been using for years. Can't say what it's like in the wet yet - no doubt will soon find out.

Footjoy CabrettaSof is a really nice glove I found this year. More expensive than the WeatherSof but great provided it's dry. You can pick them up on Ebay from time to time at good prices. I also keep some Strata gloves for use in the wet which are great. Being a bit of a cheapskate, I bought a set of 5 cabretta "unbranded" gloves on Ebay recently to practice with. They're not too bad but the size was a bit larger than the equivalent footjoy which is a bit of a bummer. They should be fit for purpose (practice), but really make you appreciate the genuine article. There seems to be a lot of Srixon Cabretta gloves on Ebay - has anyone tried these ?

I have the Srixon Cabretta and really like them, good fit and comfy.

I bought a footjoy soft and i love it

FootJoy WeatherSof - For practice and wet weather. Feels like leather almost, best synthetic I've used by far. FootJoy SofJoy or CabrettaSof - Both good quality and reasonably durable leather gloves. Would stay clear of the all singing all dancing SciFlex as it falls apart too quickly. Tesco are often cited as offering good cheap leather gloves but I found they (a) didn't fit me and (b) are very thick leather which looses the feel leather is supposed to give.

Original Roo, for me. Tried them a few years ago at a GM meet and buy 3 a year from Alan at Golfshopeurope. Nothing beats them for grip in the wet or dry and nice and thin but hardwearing leather.
Tesco's, the leather one not the all weather (which is crap). The leather is very similar to the Titleist players glove. Not very hard wearing but 3 quid a go!
i like the sciflex, tend to last about 3 months before stretching too much, not had one wear the palm/thumb like the gtx. the new ones come in assorted colours too.
Original Roo for me - no contest - streets ahead of the rest
I'm gonna have to try the 'Roo again at some point after a major missfire with the 3 I bought a couple of years ago - one fell apart in no time and another dried up super quick. One of the mainstream all-rounders I've had is the FootJoy Weathersof GTX.
titleist players are very good.last well.
For me FJ GTX every time, except when wet and then a pair of Nomis roo gloves which are awesome.

Tried em all and love FJs leather jobbie, but too bloody expensive. Try the Dunlop full leather for £3.50 from Donnay shots. IMO a great glove and a bargain glove. They sell out quick so I have 4 new ones tucked away.

I too use the Srixon Cabretta gloves, they're much cheaper than the the footjoy leather glove and I think they last longer.
