Makser is known as the "Spanish Hippo", least round here it is. They aren't a bad make but think Hippo in terms of quality and performance. There is a lot better for yer money.
Makser gained a reputation a while back for highly engineered decent stuff, and good quality UST shafts etc. Probably the highlight was their driver that hit a record 408yds.
But they've fallen into a bit of a rut. I had a full set of Makser at one time, but ultimately none of it stands out as top notch.
You'll get something that's at least as good as the 2nd division stuff (I mean Benross/MD/Hippo etc) - but make sure that you pay that type of price too.
I had a Makser C-Forged GW that was a nice piece of kit for the money. When I upgraded irons I bought a set of matching wedges and now the Makser is one of my friends favourite clubs in his bag.
