Jus bought a new set. KZG PC-III and have been to the rnge and hit them beautifully. my first real set as only 14. But laying of 9 so though it was worth it.What d you think of KZG clubs or irons.

The Evolutions are a nice looking set of clubs - very similar to my A10's

KZG are hugely rated on the equipment-oriented forums in the USA. As Tim says, the Evo's are very tasty. I know of a set of heads for sale that are sorely tempting me....

I am going to St Andrews on Saturday to get custom fitted for a set of Evo's. I started to sell all my old equipment ( less than 1 year old) to pay for them. Roll on Saturday as I have booked a round at the Dukes course in the morning.

John, dont waste your money i got a set last summer and i can honestly say they are the worst clubs that i have ever had. I tried to trade them in against a set of callaways and was offered 50 pound for them they have no resale value.

Highly rated in the US as stated above. But ir rather depends how long you think you're likely to keep them: I find anything that's not taylormade, callaway, ping etc has very little resale value. I had an SMT driver with quite an expensive shaft that I paid £250 for about 18 months ago. I was thinking about a new one for this summer and found that none of my local pro shops were really interested in a part exchange. One said ' I'll give you £40 for the shaft but the head's only worth £20.' Compare that to someone who was in the shop at the same time and was offered £80 for a fairly battered looking Ping...

This may sound daft but i am mainly buying them because I will be able to be custom fitted for the shafts. I was originally going to get my MX900's re shafted but after discussions with the club fitter we reckoned that i was more likely to gt a better result starting from scratch

I was fitted at st andrews also, you would be better of going to the mizuno place through the west, i got the kzg pc111 and they are the cast version of the evolutions, and they are shite, the shafts and the gips are ok its just the heads are rubbish they are poorly finished, dont waste your money.

Had my MX900's fitted at Cumbernauld. What shafts did you get, I am looking at Matrix shafts. The problem with the MX900,s is that they have light graphite shafts fitted so presumably MIzuno should have fitted different heads and now that I want a heavier shaft I could end up with serious swing weight issues hence the new clubs.

 |
I got dynamic gold steel shafts, it was 300 pound down the drain, i am goin to see if a pro can take the gips of so i can reuse them on my other clubs when they need replaced.

If you go down the Mizuno route make sure you actually get what you've been fitted for. The build quality of the set of MP60s I bought was suspect to say the least. Lofts and lie all over the place, inconsistent length gaps on each club and grips that weren't on correctly. So on top of my £500 initial outlay it cost another £150 to get them properly sorted by a club maker who knew what he was doing. As opposed to the minimum wage folk companies like Mizuno/Titleist/TM/Callaway use to 'build' their clubs.

Just back from St Andrews and have ordered the Evolutions in 5-PW-AW & SW, The fitter even tried to alter my clubs to get the spin rate I wanted but to no avail so WAS FORCED TO BUY the Eveloution's with Matrix shafts. Hope to pick them up before next Saturday's medal
