We're keen to know what you think of Benross products. My experience has been they have been great value for money and so easy to hit. Their putters, though often looking a little odd ball, have been terrific, especially on the slower greens we tend to get in spring and autumn.

I have 4 Benross clubs - driver, 4-wood, hybrid and sand wedge. All have been a pleasure to use, and their total cost (£180) could have easily been spent on a driver alone without getting a better one. My only issue with them is over customer service. I contacted them in January, and again three weeks ago, to ask why my driver (the V10) is not on the R&A's conforming list - even though they advertised it as conforming - and whether they plan to submit it for testing. They haven't yet even bothered to reply.

I've read and heard a lot about their products, but haven't yet had the opportunity to try any of them. I must make the effort to at least try something - their drivers and utilities look particularly interesting.

I have a couple of their clubs. Used a V6 Trimass 3 wood for a while and found it a superb club. Great off the tee but I changed courses and needed something with a shallower face to use mainly off the deck. The real revelation was my Benross putter. Bought it for £20.00 when I was having a bad time with my Ping Ugle. A few months later and it was the Ping that ended up on ebay and the Benross Ripple SR VMC that is irreplaceable in my bag. The quality of components is superb and the peripheral bits that are so often ignored, such as head covers etc, are also of top quality. This is another make that I am happy to have in my bag (along with MD and Orka) and another example of not needing to pay top dollar for god kit. My next cheap club that I am experimenting with is a Ben Sayers M8 utility and I will report on how it goes.

I like the look of the new Innovator driver. It comes with moveable weight technology, a top quality just released shaft and (according to their website) a square face angle instead of all the toed in stuff. I really would like to have a crack with this - just got to find one available at a good price.

Never tried any Benross gear, but if it is as good as MD gear then I would have no hesitation about putting it in the bag.

I have a set of L/Hand Benross VX2s which are for sale ! .I had my best round of 85 with them ,they have been very good starter irons a very solid well engineered product the only trouble I had was hitting the 3&4 iron the sand iron I still use to-day.I have now Wilson staff DI 7s I have still not beat that round so that must say somthing !.I also have a Benross S4 7 wood which does sound a little wooden when hit but is consistant at reaching 160-170yrds and good at getting out of rough providing I dont top them & that cost £28 bargain club. overall these clubs represent great value for money.

I've got the v6 driver/3wood and rescue and think they perform just as well as the big names and are brilliant value. The 3 wood is the highest launching i have ever had even off the deck!

David Ross - are you Ben's little brother ??!! I have Benross wedges (Lob & Sand) and have been very impressed with them - good quality and great value - can't recommend them enough.

Got an older V8 compressor driver with a 15* loft - took about 6 weeks to get used to it, especially with the Graffolloy blue shaft (fairly whippy) but I am now very happy with the results, longer than anything I've used before even with the extra loft and reasonably forgiving. My bad shots are down to my lapses in concentration. Also have a 25* rescue which I've had for about 3 months and not yet hit a really bad shot with it! The sound takes a bit of getting used to though. Just bought a 17* rescue/escape with moveable weights - maybee I can impress partners with a controlled draw now? I'd recommend Benross for above average results, reasonable quality and especially good value for what I've seen so far.

I have the Veloct Driver. 10* loft reguler flex. This is a great Driver and hits them long & true. Also got a free putter with the driver, the feel is great. All in all very good quality bits of kit.
just bought two 'sweet feel' Benross wedges, 48* & 60*. Not had chance to try them yet. But for £40 the pair you cannot go wrong. BTW, they look and feel graet.

I've not tried any Benross items, but whenever i buy a new club I try not to be snobby about it and just go with what feels best for me whether thats a taylormade driver at £200+ or a n other @ £75. Gold clubs are like any other item, a lot can be spent by the "top" names on advertising etc - doesn't necessarily mean though that they are best for you. A great putter I had many years ago was a ben sayers, i was dynamite with it! Sadly after a 15 year break from golf it had gone somewhat rusty in the garage! Sometimes with the so called lesser brands that aren't stocked in many places and makes it harder to trythem out and compare. Someone above mentioned Orka - i'd love to try their irons and snake eyes but if you do there isn't normally much to compare them with (at the same time)
