Illegal drivers
......still on sale?

I noticed in our pro shop an illegal Taylor Made driver was still in the second hand bin.

Also an equipment reviewer (mael mordha) has posted two recent reviews on illegal drivers - bought, apparently, from the pro shop.

Should shops still be selling this stuff - even cheaply?

I believe lots of outlets are selling them as "Recreational Clubs".

There are many social golfers who have very little interest in competition golf but enjoy golf as a hobby and social activity and nothing more, so what  harm are they doing to any one for a percieved few extra yards on a drive. Plus the added bonus of picking up a good driver for a cheaper price due to it being illegal

But i think the pro shop has to inform the buyer that the driver is illegal and not allowed in competition golf.

Its a win win situtation, the pro gets a few quid and the social golfer gets a bargain of a driver.
