 hi guys, i think i know the answer however waht are your thjoughts. i bought a new golf bag on monday, i stillhave the receipt) form AG. Played int he medal today and the clips on the strap have burst, I assume being faulty and the fact I have my receipt I should be able to get an exchange? i dont want a refund just a new bag with a working strap!! thought I would ask as the attitdues of the blokes in amercian golf in recent times has been shocking. if there ar elegal blurb that I can bat at them if they get shirty then excellent! thanks guys, rosco

 They should take it back no problem, i bought some waterproofs from there got to the course a week later opened them up and found there was no velcro strap on 1 leg by my ankle. Happily exchanged.

 should be easily exchanged. If not ask if s/he would be happy with the situation? The reply will be "no," so then ask, "so why should I?" as for legal blurb - not fit for purpose intented under sale of goods act - though probably not worth quoting that to an average SG sales bod.

 You shouldnt have a problem mate.... I bought a bag couple years ago,had it for about 6 months and a strap holder came away,took it back and cos i didnt have receipt they had to send bag back to supplier which they replaced within 2 weeks,but they said if i had receipt or payed by credit card they would of done a swap there and then or for another make of bag,no questions asked

Recent consumer rights changes now mean that within the first 6 months, it is assumed an item had the fault at purchase and wasn't caused by the consumer. So the retailer is required to sort it out, unless they can prove otherwise.
