what course is the picture of at the top of the forum pageof golfmagic?

I am thinking its one at St Andrews as looks like the Old Course hotel in the background, however looks "too green" - also I don't remember seeing any trees at St Andrews.

looks like Carnasty?

That what I would have said - Hotel in the distance and the Clubhouses alongside the road.

It looks like the par 3 where I shanked it into the muck on the right, somehow got it on the green and fluked a long putt for par!

It's the par-3 13th on the Carnoustie Championship course - hotel in the background. ED

Me too - when I first saw that photo I said "oooh, that's the 13th at Carnoustie".

Maybe we could start an Anorak's Club?

When we were up there it pure blue skies with 30 mph straight down our throats on that hole. easy low five wood just through the back.

can't find a pic from the tee for this one but it's a par 3 on a lesser known course.

Wht happy memories!!

2 holes - both parred on my "tour" last year

12th at Kingsbarns has to be my one of my absolute favourite holes ever - I nailed a driver, 3 wood and (beautifully drawn) 5I combo into the teeth of the wind to about 15 feet and (sadly) missed the birdie putt, but the memories of that 5 iron will last forever!

It's Carnoustie burnside, I think, but couldn't tell you the hole?

Good play - better than me. Last year I.. er... nailed a high pushed drive onto the hill, chopped down onto the fairway, and hooked a fairway wood into the sea. Slightly better this year... I hooked my drive into the sea...

The latest pic is the 5th on the burnside - another beautiful course!

I probably enjoyed that even more than the championship, but that is probably just my game not beiong up to the big test!

lol, yep the 5th on the Burnside.

Ok, one of the nicest holes i've ever played.... badly. Somehow i managed to leave it short with my chunked wedge.

Any more pics from anyone? Preferably of an Open Championship course, I'm unlikely to pick out the 7th from Wittering Park or such like.
