Golfmagic identifies the courses where you can play golf and watch racing - though not necessarily at the same time

One that is missing from the list is Town Moor GC, which is in the middle of Doncaster Racecourse. I have not played it, but it is an eighteen hole course par 69 and the green fees are extremely competitive

Chester(Curzon Park) Golf club is adjacent to Chesters own historic race course. I've never played it so canr comment on its qualities though.

Strangely enough Leopardstown in Dublin doesn't seem to have registered on your radar... although it contains a decent 18-hole course and full size driving range, with bays and additional space outside to practice on the turf instead of the mats.
The course itself is short -as one would expect on a race course- but interesting enough.
I have fond memories of this course as it is the place were I played my first round. Also the place is perfect for summer, after-work twilight rounds as it is very close to city centre.

I don't see a listing for Down Royal race course and golf club in Northern Ireland. This is a great race course and an even better golf course the rates are cheap the people friendly and the pro shop is also cheap and great value for money. Due to all the sandy type soil around the race course the golf course drains very well and is almost always open. The course has some long and some tricky holes where the race course makes the OOB. GREAT COURSE. There is also a smaller 9 hole, pitch and putt type course.

Oadby golf club in Leicester also wends its way through the infield of the racecourse, there's even a local rule allowing replacement of a ball which lands in a hoof print.

Scottie mentioned Down Royal in Northern Ireland, but did you know (as far as I'm lead to believe) Down Royal is the only golf course you can play when the horse racing is on. This I have done myself and it is great, golfing on a great course and watching the horses you bet on win (I wish) as you are playing. A local rule card tells you what holes you can and cannot play while the racing is on.You you should try it some time.

Missing from your list of horses and courses
is Kelso Golf Club. This is an 18 hole course, easy walking for seniors.

I believe the oldest continually-in-use club in the world is Musselburgh on the outskirts of Edinburgh. It's a tricky 9-hole links-type course in the middle of a racetrack. On the first tee, you have to pass over the racetrack's white metal barrier fence which is about 20 yards from the tee itself. I played it last year and wondered how many folk had hit the fence and caught the rebound.

You can hire old hickory-shafted clubs and play the course with them. Only found this out after we'd played there. A definite "must-do" for next time.

Not strictly on the racecourse but St Pierre used to be a great venue for combining wayward drives with wayward betting-slips.
Although the course has allegedly slipped since its Tour-venue days, the proximity to Chepstow made for an easy Thurs-Sun break and the Championship course was a good track.
The Thursday evening special at Chepstow used to have a real party atmosphere.
Not a bad hotel either.
Not been for several years, which starts me thinking ...
