Just returned to playing golf after a break of many years joined local club and now playing off 10 hcp.. my first purchase was a Donnay Slammer 2 driver steel shaft which at £15 from Sports Soccer I thought the price must be wrong..What a club wherever you hit it off the face it goes with a real crack and straight never drove so well in my whole life..just shows you dont have to pay the earth...now after a new set of irons plus a 3 and 5 wood any suggestions did like the look of the Mizuno mx17 and Ben Sayers M2i..

How about these?

Or these but must confess as to not knowing too much about MecGregor gear...

and I have a friend who uses these and he swears by them. This set also has a carry bag thrown in - but bear in mind all the positives and negatives that surround eBay and not being able to try the clubs first.

Good luck with your search.

Don't Donnay do woods to match your driver, you seem quite happy with it.

if you are playing off 10 you should be looking at the better player irons in the Mizuno range.

I'd have a good look at the MX23's and the new MP32's-both superb clubs for around £400-500 for a set. Plus make sure you get custom fit as well.
