User review section

It's been quite a while in the making, and it's not yet perfect.... but have a look at our new equipment review section. It lists about 1,500 products on the market for you to write and read reviews about, and has links to relevant articles and forum threads. Rate and slate, as you see fit!

The purpose of it is to create a useful resource and archive of opinions and information on as much golf kit as possible. It also has links from the product pages, direct to the buying page of that specific product on one or two on-line retailer's websites (not just to the home page).

It's NOT yet perfect. We're aware of some products being wrongly classified, and there is still some duplication of products which we're working through still, and probably will be for a little while...

However, do please have a good look, start sharing your opinions on the equipment you love or loathe, and let us have your feedback on how the system works here in this thread.

I think it's great. I use bikemagic's site just for that feature. I'm thinking of what to put in. Also I'm in the process of buying new gear so look forward to adding the reviews of that stuff.

It's like the best course thread. This things take time to do them justice.

I think the equipment review forum is a brilliant idea once it gets a little more established. I hope it catches on.

Very good section, if a bit empty at the moment! Will definitely be useful when filling up, though the links to other forum discussions and reviews are already helpful / good way of spening half an hour...

Great idea, hope it catches on better than the classified section,still haven't sold my bloody tourbag.

Seriously though I think most people would rather listen to reviews from ordinary punters rather than sales reps with only one agenda (no offence Dave Mizzuno) or Golf mag reviews where a nice big brown envelope or a half price Caddy Stroller could mean the difference between a good or bad review.

Maybe it was too expensive, Craig? How much for what sort of tour bag?

Sorry I use the site daily (give a recent break for 3 weeks) but I never knew there was a classified section. I'm going there straight away to have a look.
