Anyway here i am hitting an 8 iron 160yrds approx. slight draw.

Any help would be greatly appriciated

It only looked like a 140 yard 8 iron from here.

Not a bad swing though although a bit flat on the takeaway.

How would i cure being flat? when i hit bad shots the pull straight left or fade right. this only happens when i try to whack it.......

Hello again,

Just been to the range, trying to get a bit more fluency through impact.

Took a quick video again with the 8 iron.

 Please critique

I dont see the flat swing being a problem.

You do however have a slight throw at the top meaning the path of your swing is a little out to in through impact.

Are you happy hitting the fade?

thanks for the reply bob.

Not really, its a bit to inconsistant to be honest and with the longer clubs i seem to hit the ball dead left all the time. Also im hoping to get myself a membership at my local club next year with is notoriously windy which dosent favour players with high ball flight.

Is their any ways i could eradicate the throw? drills etc?

just got a good drill from youtube.

going to try it out and see how it goes. thanks for the help

Hello again,

Thought is update this thread to show the results of my changes over the past year. i managed to cure the casting (eventually) i now hit a more penetrating ball flight.

Im also now a member of my local course shooting regular 77/78's, Still havnt the courage to enter a competition but no doubt i will once the rain stops.

Once again any information/critisisms/advice is more than welcome.

Nice action and a nice balanced finish

I would suggest getting in comps as that is not the swing as your title says of a 12 handicap!, all I can think is you must chip and putt horribly if you are a 12, although 77-78's sounds a lot fairer, I would hazard a guess at 6 handicap ball striking quality
