Tiger Woods has committed to play four events in a five-week stretch on the PGA and European Tours, commencing January 26.
Woods, 41, will tee it up at the Farmers Insurance Open at Torrey Pines (January 26-29), before jetting over to play in the Dubai Desert Classic (February 2-5), and then will head back to the States to compete in the Genesis Open at Riviera (February 16-19) and the Honda Classic at PGA National (February 23-26).
The 14-time major champion has won eight times at Torrey Pines, most recently in 2013, but he will face no easy task of repeating the feat with the likes of world number one Jason Day, reigning US Open champion Dustin Johnson and a red-hot Hideki Matsuyama in the field.
Woods will make his first official PGA Tour start since August 2015 when he plays in the Farmers Insurance Open as his comeback at last month's Hero World Challenge, where he finished 15th out of 17 players, was not an official event on the schedule.
As for returning to the European Tour and the Dubai Desert Classic, a tournament he has won twice in 2006 and 2008, Woods said: "I've always enjoyed playing in Dubai and it's fantastic to see how the city has grown phenomenally from when I first started playing there."
