Hey guys,

Thanks ever so much for your advice. I wanted to let you know that I opted for the Chicago set. My teacher said they are pretty good and I quite like them (although I am no expert! : )

I am really happy, because now I can go to the driving range whenever I want, without needing to drag any of my friends out!

Thanks again for your help.

Hi all,

I am sorry for another common post, but I was hoping you could give me some advice.

I have played golf 10 times with my friends and I realised that I really like this sport. I just had my first (out of 6) lesson and I have been hitting some good shots, so I am really hoping to improve quickly. I am keen in buying a set of clubs and I have searched around the internet and read loads of posts.

So here are my questions:

1) I have in mind of buying a really bad set, which hopefully will last 1 year. At that point I will hopefully enough experience to feel the difference from the different clubs and buy a much better set. Is this a good approach?

2) Initially I opted for a 1/2 set but then I changed my mind when I looked at the prices ie adding £20 more I can buy a full set. What do you think?

3) I found a few really cheap sets:

Chicago full set

Chicago 1 inch shorter (I am 5 ft 75)

I apreciate they are all made in china with alloy heads, but do you think that they are good enough for a beginner?

Thanks a lot for your help and sorry for the very common topic.

Looking forward to your replies,
