Three lucky Golfmagic members will be turning on their heels and tightening up their golf games this summer courtesy of FootJoy, having won a pair of the latest innovation in golf shoes.

Each has won a pair of ReelFit shoes, where laces have been abandonned in favour of tightening the fit with the turn of a wheel on the heel. The result is a pair of shoes which are the ultimate in fit, comfort and performance.

The winners of the competition we ran during May and June are: David Russ from Clydach, Swansea, Raymond Stewart from Aberdeen and Duncan Ross from London.

Said David (46), an electrical control specialist and member at Palleg Golf Club: "What a pleasant surprise! I'm hoping to get my handicap down with my local pro Baden Jones, and these should help, too."

Ray Stewart (62) is an engineering draughtsman, playing off 10 and is a handicap committee member at Inverurie Golf Club.

"I have been down to seven handicap at one time and my aim is to try and get down to single figures again," he says.
