Ogio's show bags

Ogio's new Probe.

Ogio launches its new golf bags at the annual PGA golf trade show in Orlando, Florida next week, aiming to lift the bar in quality cratsmanship even further.

Both frustrated and flattered by the features on their bags, which Ogio subsequently claims are replicated by other manufacturers, the company has taken a fresh look at its products and concentrated on detail for 2003.

However, faced with the most famous name in golf being identical to the generic word to describe the clubs in the bag that are neither iron, nor wedge, nor putter, and obviously not wishing to infringe an inferred association with the World's No.1 golfer, Ogio has introduced the woode (with an 'e') Club Management System.
Ogio V-12 trolley bag.

The 'woode CMS' design directs all these clubs and their headcovers, along the side when the bag is tilted on its legs, while organising the remaining clubs in a 'stadium seating' layout complete with a top-mounted pit for the putter. Variations feature in Ogio's new stand and carry bags.

Accessory pockets are subtly positioned on the pad side for easier access to water bottle, scorecard and pencil.

Stand Bags include the elegant streamlined Novak - with nine pockets and ergonomic handle (£124.95), Probe (£109.95) with 5-ball dispenser, the 5lbGrom (£99.95) with eight pockets and lightweight Kavinga (£69.95) - ideal for juniors or holiday golfers, fitted with Ogio's Triple-Triangle suspension system.

Among the new range of trolley bags is the utilitarian Ogio V-12 (£139.95), forward facing and which features dual front handles and a padded single strap and the T-9 (£139.95) designed specifically to hold shorter women's or junior clubs. It has a 'woode CMS' system and detachable tote bag.
