Colin Sibthorpe will be teeing it up on August 2 at Wentworth's Edinburgh Course, courtesy of Hill Billy and golfmagic.com.
The 48 year-old engineer from Wootton Bassett in Wiltshire was chosen from a bumper entry in our competition to win a pro-am place in the Wentworth Senior Masters - one of the European Seniors Tour's richest events.
Colin, married with two sons aged 15 and nine took up golf eight years ago and, having left the RAF and is keen to improve on his 17 handicap. He now plays mostly with the RAF Lyneham Golf Society at Marlborough, Ogbourne Downs, Castle Combe and Wrag Barn golf clubs.
"The society gives me a wide and diverse selection of excellent courses to play and I'm continually trying to improve. My strengths are my short game and my accuracy but I'd like to increase my distance off the tee and the consistency of my ball striking," says Colin, who's looking forward to rubbing shoulders with Europe's senior elite.
Second prize in our competition - the latest Hill Billy Compac Plus trolley - goes to 18-handicapper Phillip Taylor (51) from Winshill, Burton-on Trent.
He told me: "I have being thinking of getting an electric trolley for some time as I suffer with osteoarthritis in both
knees. This will certainly help me to keep up with other players."
Third prize (a Hilly Billy cart bag) goes to 17-year-old student James Douglas from Cranbrook School in Kent.
James currently plays off a handicap of nine, at Hemsted Forest Golf Club, where he's junior captain and at Royal Cinque Ports.
"I'm striving to lower my handicap as much as I can over the next couple of years, in the hope that I can play collegiate golf at university either in the UK or in the US," says James. After university, he says, he hopes to turn pro.
"I know this is quite common among juniors, and that the chances of making it are very slim but it's something I've always wanted to do," adds James who'll be watching the semi-finals of the Amateur championship at Royal St Georges at the weekend.
