Construction is underway for a 24-hour golf entertainment centre in Las Vegas.
A mile off 'The Strip' - The Las Vegas High Street - the centre is being designed by the firm headed by Pete Dye, the creator of Kiawah Island and is set for completion in Spring 2003.
It will feature no less than 24 putting greens inspired by famous courses from around the world, including Augusta National, St. Andrews and Turnberry.
And you can bet that Butch Harmon who has a teaching academy in the world's gambling capital, will have an interest in the project.
Just imagine...having lost all your money in the gambling casinos you could then putt on some of the toughest greens in the world to make you feel better!
There are plans too in the US for a $25 million golf education centre built the Tiger Woods Foundation. TWF executive director Greg McLaughlin says the facility would be built either in Anaheim, Los Angeles near H.G. Dad Miller golf club, where Tiger played while in High School, or at a site in Long Beach.
