Win a round with European Tour star Simon

Win a round with Simon.

Simon Dyson, at 25, is one of the fastest rising stars in world golf. In his first full year as a professional he won the treasured Asian circuit order of merit and currently sits in the top 60 in Europe with four top ten finishes in 2002.

So the chance to play 18 holes with this talented Yorkshireman strikes us as an opportunity not to be missed.

And that's what two GOLFmagic visitors will do if they win this easy-to-enter competition.

Simon, a Ping equipment player, who represents the same ISM management stable as Ryder Cup heroes Darren Clarke, Lee Westwood and Paul McGinley, will be waiting on the first tee at Mere Golf and Country Club in Cheshire on Thursday, December 12 (not December 11, as originally quoted) to join our two winners and GOLFmagic editor Bob Warters.

He will also give our winners the benefit of a few tips on their game before and during the round and hand over a goodie bag of special gifts, win, lose or draw.

There will be plenty to talk about, too. Simon comes from sporting roots - his grandfather was a jockey, his father John a bookmaker and his uncle, Terry, played in Tottenham's double-winning team in 1960-61.

Simon was a promising footballer with his native York City but switched his allegiance to golf and after claiming his Asian Tour card broke through by winning back-to-back in the Macau and China Opens. He won the Hong Kong Open in 2000 and apart from topping the Asian rankings, was named Rookie of the Year and Players' Player of the Year.

On Tour he represents Malton and Norton Golf Club.

For a chance to win this superb, exclusive prize, all you have to do is answer a simple question and submit your details (name, address, golf club and handicap - if any) to cullen@magicalia.com and we'll do the rest.

We will let you know in good time if you have won. Closing date: Midnight (GMT) Friday, November 29, 2002.
