It has been another awesome year for new golf equipment with almost all the major manufacturers stretching the boundaries of technology to help us hit the ball longer, straighter and closer.
And on occasions, so long that the Tours have had to threaten the pros and leading amateurs with a first tee gauge to measure the trampoline effect of some drivers to ensure they stay within the regulations of fair play.
So what, in your opinion, is your Gear of the Year? What club or ball has made this game even more enjoyable for you during 2004?
Your personal choice may be an innovation in technology or a practice aid, a driver that has given you great satisfaction in terms of distance and accuracy or a wedge that has enabled you to sharpen up your short game.
You may have bought a set of irons which has transformed your golf and reduced your handicap dramatically or a ball that has given you, not only extra distance but more control.
Alternatively a putter could get your vote - a traditional blade or heel-toe-weighted club or one of the latest back-weighted versions proving so popular among the pros.
It's a subjective and personal poll, but no less authoritative - because Golfmagic members are recognised as perhaps the best thermometer of opinion in the UK golf industry:
Opinion and resultant feedback is almost instantaneous.
And as we have found from your user-reviews and your responses to our popular forum, we are all discerning purchasers whose observations are closely monitored by the golf trade.
