Vokey wedge winners

Black Nickel Vokey wedge

Three Golfmagic visitors will soon be in possession of a glittering new Titleist Vokey wedge following our competition during June to win one.

They are Paul Barker (31), an IT consultant from Alcester, Warwickshire, Jim Muir (56) a systems analyst from Glenrothes and Robert Pamment (53) who plays at Painswick in the Cotswolds.

Following the competition from which the winners were drawn at random from hundreds of entries, each was offered the opportunity to choose from a range of Vokey wedges including the latest Design 200 series.

Said Paul: "My choice is the 58-degree Oil Can sand wedge with eight degrees of bounce. This prize has come at a great time as I am slowly re-equipping after an eight-yearabsence from the game - I had no idea my old woods and blades were so outdated!

"I have relocated from Northumberland and hope to join Ingon Manor, near Stratford on Avon. My handicap certificate is an unrealistic six at the moment, but hopefully I'll find my feet before too long."

Jim plays at the well-maintained municipal Glenrothes golf course and is secretary/treasurer of of Viewfield Golf Club, which uses the course for its competitions.

The 17-handicapper, who plays five times a week and says he has 'a very understanding wife' commented: "My golf game is on fire at the moment, following three rounds in which I beat my handicap. I was off 19 in June. I know the gods of golf will attempt to get their revenge but my target for this year is 15 (or better). A new Vokey sand wedge will help me get there."

Robert, a 16-handicapper, has asked for the Vokey lob wedge in black nickel.

"Hopefully it will help in my efforts to get the better of the Painswick course which once featured in the former FORE! magazine's top courses in the UK," says Robert, who says he finds the Golfmagic site very informative.

*Tell us about your golf equipment - waterproofs, clubs, balls, bag, shoes, etc - by submitting a user review. You could win one of the three packs of a dozen Callaway Warbird balls we give away every month.

And if you've got clubs to buy or sell second hand you can do that too, in our popular classified section.
