In the last competition, to win a ProQuip Neptune 2 waterproof suit, we asked GM members to provide a suitable caption for a picture of Colin Montgomerie chatting on his mobile phone.
The winner from
a bumper entry was Nick Davis (39), a financial analyst from Brett Vale Golf Club near Ipswich, Suffolk.
His winning entry was: "Hello! Is that the sense of humour implant centre? I've got the cash...when can we do it?"
Said Nick, when told of his win: "That’s excellent news. I have been playing for about 10 years (h’cap 9.6) and I'm currently on my winter training/practice regime with the aim of getting down to seven this coming summer.
"I’ve had a good year in 2005...briefly achieved single figures, shot my first hole in one in June and won my club’s singles matchplay knock-out tournament after being runner up in 2004."
